Starting this [DATE] at [TIME], we will be holding our [NAME OF MEETING] via Zoom, which is free videoconferencing software. The information, below, will be the same for each meeting until further notice.
Connection Option 1: Video Chat
Required Equipment: iPhone, iPad, Android Phone/Tablet, or Webcam-Equipped Computer or Laptop
Go to: https://zoom.us/j/[PERONAL_MEETING_ID]
…and install the application requested.
Then, enter the Meeting ID: [PERONAL_MEETING_ID] into the application you just installed to be connected.
(It could take a few minutes to download and install the application, so make sure to click on the link, above, a few minutes before the meeting if you have never used Zoom before.)
If you already have the Zoom app installed, this Meeting ID is: [PERONAL_MEETING_ID]
Connection Option 2: Audio Only
Required Equipment: Telephone (Mobile or Landline)
Dial: (669) 900-6833
Enter the Meeting ID: [PERONAL_MEETING_ID] #
Press # to skip the unique participant ID entry

Note: This is our first meeting using videoconferencing, so this is an experiment. I will have to make minor modifications to the format of the meeting given the nature of videoconferencing. Those modification can be discussed after the meeting. To keep the ambient noise down, please make sure you are on mute until called upon by name to speak. If you use Connection Option 1 – Video Chat, there is a button in the software to mute/unmute. If you use Connection Option 2 – Audio Only, use your telephone’s mute button (or *6 to turn mute on and off if your phone doesn’t have a mute button). When you are called upon to speak, please unmute yourself, then speak, then mute yourself again when done. It may be hard or impossible for those who choose Option 2 – Audio Only to share/speak because we won’t be able to identify you.
